Video Games Artwork was created to collect all the amazing (concept) artwork that is being created for video games and the artists that created them. Concept art is a form of illustration where the main goal is to convey a visual representation of a design, idea, and/or mood for use in various media, including video games, before it is put into the final product. Unfortunately it still too often happens that this concept art remains unknown for most of the time. It is also often interesting to see what kind of ideas the developers and the artists came up with, which are then portrayed in the artwork but eventually gets scrapped in the final product. And even when the artwork gets released, the artists are often unmentioned, especially when the artworks find their way to websites. So not only would I like to collect and share with you the (unseen) art of video games, but also give credit to their creators as well.
Please note: Video Games Artwork does not take credit or claim copyright on any of the artworks that appear on this website. This website is just a place where I share concept art from video games and pay homage to their creators. If, for any reason, the creator or other copyright holder would like his or her artwork(s) to be removed, please let me know right away.
Can you help?
Yes, you can! I'm doing this simply because I love video games and art, and I do this in my spare time. So any help is welcome. You can create an account on this website and contribute. So, for example, if you happen to see some information that is missing or is incorrect, you can edit that page and submit a revision. I will check whether the revised information is correct and if it all checks out, I'll publish it. You can also add new artists, images or galleries to the website.
